Carey Station Urban Water Reuse Facility Expansion

Piedmont Water Company selected Lakeshore Engineering as General Contractor for the expansion of the existing Carey Station Urban Water Reuse Facility from 0.5 MGD to 1.5 MGD.
The $22M project includes extensive site work, installation of new headworks, an equalization basin, an influent pump station, a 3rd clarifier, an aerobic digester and blowers, a chlorine content chamber, a chemical tank farm, a chemical pumping room, a 1.5 MGD reject pond, and converting the existing aerobic digester to a VertiCel aeration basin.
